Art for Fire is an unofficial non profit that was created by artists/activists Olivia Williams and Kristen Terrana. This ongoing project was inspired by the victims of the 2007 California wildfires; however our idea of using creative expression as a means to benefit others began much earlier. The mission of Art for Fire is to bring artistic and musical talent together to raise money for victims of natural and humanitarian disasters. We donate money raised by original art and music sales to grassroots charitable organizations. These smaller organizations can make bigger impacts on communities affected by disaster. Fundraising in this method benefits both the disaster victims, as well as emerging artists in getting exposure for their work.

As artists, finances can often be a struggle, and many of us lack the extra funds to donate to charitable organizations. Our goal is to empower fellow artists by utilizing creativity as a means of serving others. Artwork and music is donated and used to raise money in order to benefit those in need.

Funds will be raised through creative projects, auctions, and through the online sales of paintings, sculpture, mixed media, and music.

30% of the proceeds raised during each event will go to the artists, and the other 70% will go to the chosen charities. While this is still a young group, Art for Fire needs venues to lend their space for little to no money in order to help our mission. Additional funding and support needed in order to move this project forward.

We are currently looking for an organization whose mission is to directly help people in financial distress with the funds raised.
